Welcome to our FAQ! Find answers to commonly asked questions about The Golden Farms, our breeding program, and the journey to bringing home a lovable companion.
Turn on your Instagram notifications and follow our daily Instagram stories and live feeds. We highlight the puppies often to showcase their growth and development. Puppy selection begins around 6 weeks old, and it's a sequential process based on the waitlist.
This can be a challenging process, and we understand. We're here to assist with Facetime calls, pictures, and videos of your favorite pup. Please make your decision promptly so that others can proceed with their selections.
Each puppy will go home with a take-home bag containing health records, a plush toy, and a blanket with the mother/sibling's scent. Puppies will be ready to leave at 8 weeks old, having received one set of vaccines.
1. Arrange to pick up your puppy at our home.
2. Fly home with your puppy; we can deliver your pup and meet you at the airport.
3. If more than 3 puppies are going to the same area in the Greater Montreal Area, ground transportation service can be arranged.
4. Flight Nanny Service Referrals.
If picking up the puppy in person, the final payment in cash can be made. Final payment and shipping costs are due once you have selected your puppy. Payments can be made via cash, e-transfer or credit card.
Yes, health and temperament are paramount to our breeding program. We carefully screen all of our dogs, including breed-specific DNA genetic panels through Embark and certifications for hips through PennHip and/or OFA hip, elbows, heart, and eyes.
**Do you offer a health guarantee?**
Absolutely, we provide a one-year health guarantee against any life-threatening congenital diseases or defects.
Yes, we have a strict non-breeding policy. All pups sold through us will be designated as "pets only." By placing a deposit, new owners agree to our terms and conditions for the spay/neuter agreement. Puppies are not sold for breeding purposes.
Puppies are ready to go home by 8 weeks, and we do our best to accommodate different schedules. If you cannot pick up your puppy within the week of the designated pick-up time, we offer a puppy boarding program for those needing to stay with us past 8 weeks, at a cost of $50/day for up to 2 weeks.
